The Nebrodi Mountains are considered the “green thumb of Sicily”.
Among the various natural charms, one in particular is worth our visiting, the “Rocche dell’Argimusco”, a mountain plateau where outcrops of sandstone sculpted by time create an archaic intrigue, interwoven with stories and legends. It is a magical place from where you can admire the 360° view of the northwest side of Sicily, with the Aeolian Islands to the North, the Nebrodi Mountains to the West, to the Peloritani Mountain chain to the East and, to the South, the spectacular enormity of Mount Etna. After the visit we will continue onward to the enchanting medieval village of Montalbano Elicona, named in 2015 as the most beautiful village in Sicily and still watched over by its imposing castle, which we will reach walking through the many medieval streets.
