This tour gives you the chance to get to know the various unique aspects of Mount Etna where we will discover its landscapes, extinct craters, ancient and recent lava flows and spectacular caves. The day begins with a visit to the lower western side of Etna, home to the ‘green gold’ of Bronte: pistachios! The west side as one of the most “delicious” on Etna, where 2% of all pistachios in the world are produced and made into local sweet specialities.
We will see how and where this surprising crop manages to resist the volcanic soil, seemingly inhospitable and rugged. In the end, you will have the chance to try different products made from these pistachios!
